All donations are 100% tax deductible and go to support The Village Foundation projects. The Village Foundation is run exclusively by volunteers and has no paid staff members. Leave Your Legacy in Bay Village
The Village Foundation Legacy Society was established to celebrate donors who have remembered The Village Foundation in their financial and estate plans.
Bequests are immensely important to the future of Bay Village. They are a way to ensure that your generosity will live on to help future generations of our great community.
We understand that your estate gift comes from the heart, from assets that are a result of your lifetime of hard work and achievement. The process to create a planned gift can be as brief as a few minutes or involve many discussions with loved ones and advisors.
A bequest is simple to create as part of your will or living trust and can easily be added as a codicil to an existing will or as an amendment to a living trust. The following language is an example of how you might word a bequest for The Village Foundation:
"I, ________________________(your name), hereby give, devise, and bequeath (___% of my estate) or (____% of the remainder of my estate) or (the sum of $ ________) to the The Village Foundation, a not-for-profit organization incorporated in the State of Ohio, Bay Village, Ohio 44140."
Although creating the bequest is easy, which portion of your estate to donate through your bequest may best be determined in a discussion with your advisor(s).
